YPN EVENT: New Year, New Me

LG Professionals WA invites you to join us for the Young Professional Network’s first event of 2018—‘New Year, New Me’.  
An energising morning session allowing you to refocus for the year ahead and share your aspirations with local government colleagues.
Tackling the theme of ‘New year, New Me’ the workshop will focus on two topics:

  • How to manage your personal mental health and look out for others in a stressful workplace, and;.
  • How to maximise your potential in a competitive marketplace.
    We hope you will join us as we hear from guest speakers Renee Rohde, Sam Lee and James Fairbairn who will engage and inspire delegates to maximise their career potential for 2018 and beyond.


James Fairbairn
James Fairbairn is the author of Career Karma – Maximising your potential and is currently a Partner at Lester Blades Executive Search specialising in the recruitment of executives and directors. James has amassed 23 years’ experience in the recruitment industry casting his eye over more than 70,000 resumes and interviewing over 6,000 candidates. James’ top tips for maximising your career potential will motivate and inspire delegates to take action to be their best self in 2018.

Renee Rohde
Renee Rohde is the Manager Workcare Services at LGIS which involves providing support and advice to WA Local Governments in the management of their workforce’s health and wellbeing, including the prevention and management of injuries. Renee also oversees the LGIS HR Risk Services team who provide support and services in the areas of workplace behaviours, conflict resolution, leadership and management skill development, stress management and mental health awareness.

Sam Lee
Sam Lee is an Organisational Psychologist with experience in vocational rehabilitation and assisting injured workers return to work under the WorkCover WA workers’ compensation scheme. In her role as HR Risk Consultant at LGIS Sam works primarily in the mental health awareness space, including but not limited to psychosocial hazards and psychological injury in the workplace. She also provides organisational development services including culture surveys, EEO and workplace behaviours training.
