The 2021 Community Development Conference will take place at Crown Perth, Burswood on Thursday 9 - Friday 10 September 2021. This professional development event will showcase an educational and informative program, designed specifically for local government officers working in community development.
Call for Papers
The conference committee are currently working on the conference program and engaging with guest speakers who can present motivational, inspirational and educational sessions aligned to the conference theme 'Creating community impact - awareness, action, influence.'
This specialised biennial conference will also feature several practical sessions focusing on current and emerging community development issues.
We are now seeking papers from practitioners who are interested in the opportunity of presenting a session at the event.
Papers should address one or more of the three conference streams:
Share your creative and innovative projects to foster resilient communities
Working in cross-sector partnerships to deliver community outcomes and measurements
How have you implemented outcome measurement and what tools did you use?
What are we looking for?
Our key aim for the 2021 Conference is to achieve a valuable and beneficial balance of papers from the rural/remote, regional and metropolitan areas which focus on our three streams
We invite you to share your learnings; what worked well, the barriers you overcame and the practical framework and tools you applied.
Paper submissions close: Friday 16 April
Notification of acceptance of paper: Late April 2021
Paper synopsis due for inclusion in conference program due by: Friday 21 May 2021
