LG Professionals WA have partnered with the McCusker Centre for Citizenship to promote their internship program and the support it can provide to local governments across WA.
The McCusker Centre partners with not-for-profit, community, and government organisations to provide a structured, quality internship program for students.
Through this award-winning internship program, students can engage in active citizenship by making a difference and contributing to the complex social issues in our community.
Since the internship program began in 2016, the Centre has worked with more than 300 partner organisations to enable 1548 UWA students to undertake internships and contribute 168,352 hours to the community.
An additional resource in the form of a well-placed student could provide invaluable assistance to your local government in designing and delivering programs, evaluating outcomes as well as undertaking relevant research for projects.
