This vacancy provides an opportunity to continuously improve and shape the Shire's asset management journey.
Located in the Administration building, the Assets Officer works closely with other infrastructure teams, Finance and Information Technology on a range of asset management initiatives.
The Assets Officer is responsible for ensuring the Asset Register is up to date, developing asset renewal programs, establishing asset management improvement plans and practices consistent with legislative and asset sustainability requirements and the Shire's Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework. They will also assist asset financial financial end-of-year reporting.
The suitable candidate will possess highly developed communication, problem solving and analytical skills, with developed knowledge and experience in Excel. Previous experience in the use GIS or CAD systems is highly desirable.
A salary in the range of $74,056 to $78,129 will be offered based on ability and experience.
