LG Professionals WA is delighted to announce the appointment of Candy Choo as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Association.
Candy has extensive experience with the WA local government sector and will already be well known to many members from her roles with LGIS, most recently as Divisional Manager – WorkCare Services.
Over her eight years with LGIS, Candy has held a number of important roles all working closely with local governments, including as Manager – Workforce Risk Services and Team Leader HR Risk Consulting.
Prior to her roles at LGIS, Candy worked as a Psychologist and Organisational Consultant for PPC Worldwide, where she worked to support organisations manage change processes and improve organisational performance.
In 2017, Candy was awarded the Behind Closed Doors – Women in Leadership Scholarship, and was a WA Council Member on the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI) for 4 years, including holding the position AHRI Vice President for Professional Development.
Candy holds a Bachelors of Arts (Honours in Psychology) from the University of Western Australia, and a Master in Organisational Psychology from Murdoch University.
Candy will formally begin her role on 20 November 2017, however will be present at our Annual State Conference in November, and talking to Members as she transitions into her role with the Association.
