Weaving Tapestries workshop

Developing community - the What, Why and How

It's increasing evident that strong 'community' is fundamental to wellbeing. The experience of connection and belonging is of proven benefit in itself, but also, communities can, if we work well with them, be a major resource in achieving the positive outcomes that we strive for in our various roles. Policy makers, youth workers, elected members, managers, human service workers, volunteers and community members all have a role to play on developing 'community' in our local area.

Face-to-face workshop consists of 5 interactive modules

Join us for this educational workshop, comprising 5 interactive modules each one based upon a section of Weaving Tapestries: The NEW Handbook for Developing Community authored by acclaimed Community Development Practitioner Tim Muirhead with the support of the LG Professionals WA Community Development Network. Workshop registration includes a copy of the easy-to-follow and highly sought after Weaving Tapestries Handbook.
