Local Government Professionals Australia, WA (LG Professionals, WA), and the conference organising committee reserve the right to alter or delete items from the program or alter costs. The above mentioned shall not be held liable for any costs or damage arising from any action based on the information contained herein. LG Professionals, WA, will not be held liable or responsible if the 2018 Community Development Conference is cancelled due to events outside our reasonable foreseeability and control. LG Professionals, WA, reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to limit or deny any entity or individual.
Registrations
Registrations will be handled on a first-come-first-served basis. Registrations are for individuals (as named on event invoices and / or confirmations) and cannot be shared. Submission of a booking, either online, by mail, email or fax, constitutes an official and binding booking. Prices are shown in Australian Dollars and include GST. Visa, Mastercard and cheques are accepted in addition to EFT payments. (Please use a suitable reference for easy identification and allocation of your payment.) Accommodation costs are not included in the conference registration fee. It is the responsibility of the delegate to make their own accommodation booking. All accommodation requests are to be made directly with the venue.
Cancellations
Local Government Professionals Australia, WA, understands that circumstances may arise which prevent a delegate from attending once registered. In that instance, LG Professionals, WA, policy is to accept a substitute. This must be arranged with the conference organisers in writing prior to the event. The deadline for delegate substitution is Thursday 23 August 2018.
In the event that cancellation of the registration is made, LG Professionals, WA, will charge a 30% fee to meet administration costs for registrations cancelled more than 14 days prior to the conference. This will be applicable to all registrations regardless of whether or not a payment has been made to LG Professionals, WA.
No refund can be made for cancellations less than 14 days prior to the conference. This will be applicable to all registrations regardless of whether or not a payment has been made to LG Professionals, WA. 'No Shows' will be deemed a cancellation as per the points above, and will result in a full forfeiture of the full event fee.
Information
Local Government Professionals Australia, WA, uses the information you provide to administer your event experience. We will not disclose your personal data to a third party without your consent, except where required to do so by law. In registering for the 2018 Community Development Conference delegates grant permission to LG Professionals, WA, its agents and others working under its authority to take and have full and free use of video/photographs containing their image or likeness. It is understood these images may be used for promotion, news, on-line/multimedia/research and/or education purposes by LG Professionals, WA. Delegates agree that they are not entitled to remuneration, residuals, royalties or any other payment from LG Professionals Australia WA in respect of their image/likeness or its use. At the 2018 Community Development Conference you may receive access to LG Professionals, WA, and third party licensed content (presentation materials). LG Professionals, WA, is not liable for the information in the presentation materials.
General
Local Government Professionals Australia, WA, expects conference delegates to behave professionally. Use of obscene language, abusive behaviour or threatening behaviour directed to any other conference delegate, organiser, LG Professionals, WA, staff, venue staff or corporate partner representative is not acceptable and will lead to a delegate being barred from the 2018 Community Development Conference sessions and Networking functions. LG Professionals, WA, accepts no responsibility for the actions of others whilst under the influence of alcohol served at the 2018 Community Development Conference. It is also acknowledged by delegates that it is unlawful for any person under the age of 18 years old to consume alcoholic beverages. LG Professionals, WA, accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to personal property that is brought to the 2018 Community Development Conference. The delegate will be responsible for any loss, damage or injury incurred as a result of contracts entered into with LG Professionals, WA, advice sought or obtained from LG Professionals, WA, and/or any sponsor or any loss or damage to property whilst at the venue unless caused by negligence of LG Professionals, WA.
Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. LG Professionals, WA, recommends that you take out your own general travel insurance. It is suggested that the insurance policy should also cover loss of fees/deposit, airfares, accommodation charges, medical expenses, loss or damage to property whilst attending the 2018 Community Development Conference. The insurance should cover loss arising from the cancellation of the conference by the organisers or your inability to attend due to any reason whatsoever. No responsibility is taken by LG Professionals, WA, for any person not holding insurance.
