North Metropolitan Tafe are running the Diploma of Community Development in 2022, this course is supported by the LG Professionals WA Community Development Network.
Overview
The Diploma of Community Development reflects the role of community development workers who manage the development and delivery of programs which build capacity of communities to influence and guide their own future through public social change processes.
At this level, workers have specialised skills with complexity in the range and choices of actions required. Workers will generally have responsibility for the supervision of other workers and volunteers.
This work may be undertaken across a range of social, environment, health, recreation, arts and culture sectors.
This qualification consists of 14 units of competency, 8 core units and 6 elective units which combine theory and practical experience. These units are nationally accredited and will be assessed on the job and through assessment activities.
