Council Planning Network Event

Join us in person or online for this Networking Event!

We are excited to invite you to join us for the next Council Planning Network event.

In the intricacies of local government governance, the Integrated Planning and Reporting framework stands as a vital cornerstone. It shapes the way Councils, communities and administrations collaborate, each bearing a unique set of responsibilities. Together, they contribute to the development of effective and sustainable integrated plans for their local areas and the transparent reporting of progress on these plans.

This session presents an opportunity to gain invaluable insights from two local governments that have demonstrated commitment to community consultation and engagement. These two local governments have also established robust planning and reporting structures, which have proven instrumental in prioritising services for their respective communities.

At this session you will discover:

  1. Experienced perspectives: Learn from the firsthand experiences of two local governments that have made significant strides in community engagement and effective planning and reporting.
  2. Best practices: Discover the strategies and best practices employed by these local governments, which can serve as guiding principles for your own initiatives.
  3. Local Government Reform changes: We are delighted to be joined by the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries who will provide an overview of the latest changes to IPR as part of the Local Government Reform package.
